1. We are told by God about Jinns. There may be some other creatures, too, but the concept of the dead come alive as ghost is not true. According to the Quran, the dead goes to another world of Barzakh, where they are treated according to their status.
2. There is no guidance provided by Islam on this possibility. Let see what science can tell us.
