    Hi,

So the nations who reject their prophets after itmam e hujjat they face divine punishment in this world. But the nation of Younes eventually accepted his message, and as mentioned in the bible were saved from the punishment.

I am just curious that since they accepted the prophet message what was their reward in this world, why didnt they get a big reward or a reward worth mentioning, whereas on the other side, the nations who reject the prophet always face severe divine punishment in this world that is mentioned at length in the Quran, so why any significant reward is not mentioned for the nation of Younes.

You may say that they were saved from the punishment thats a reward in itself, but unlike the punishments for nations and a mini reflection of what is to happen on the judgement day in this world, why the nation of Younes did not receive a reward worth mentioning?

The reward to believe and obey a Rasool by his people is relief from the punishment which is inflicted upon the disbelievers.

The believers, enjoy a prosperous life. See the following verse:

People of My Nation! Seek forgiveness from your Lord. Then turn to Him. He will pour down abundant rain on you and increase your strength further. Do not turn away as criminals.” (11: 52)

For the progeny of Abraham another law is enunciated, they will be given power in their promised land and the lands in the neighboring against their opponents.
