As per Farahi RA, rasool can be Nabi and also Rasool can not be a Nabi?

This is mentioned in the book in which authors collected his notes on the Quran.

I don’t understand his reasoning for this. Amin Islahi RA doesn’t agree with his opinion and neither did Ghamidi sahab

    But how to understand it?

Plz see attached pics from the book (urdu)

Imam Farahi has given his reasoning there. Nabi according to him is the one who receives revelation and Rasool is the one who is given the responsibility to preach God’s message. Rasool can be appointed by God directly, in this case, he is nabi too, and can be appointed by another nabi or Rasool and in this case, he is not a nabi.

Yes, I read his explanation but the problem is that he talks about Surah Yasin, the 2 rasools mention there r supposed to be sent by Esa

This is based on the narration of Ibn Kaseer, he himself rejected

Besides, both Islahi and Ghamidi sahab do not hold this view

      Which view point is correct?

This is isn’t some academic discussion. If a rasool doesn’t have to be Nabi then they can still come from Allah and they don’t have to be nabi. As a result how can we reject Qadianis or Bahai’s or Ismaili imams?? They all prove to be correct
