What is the situation if a Muslim person dies of drug overdose?
Death can occur due to many reasons. One of the reasons is also a drug being administered in a higher quantity than usual, or a patient accidentally taking it in more than the prescribed quantity. There is nothing in religion that is special about it for a Muslim. The deceased will still be honored and given their last rights.
Thank you
By drugs I meant cocaine and similar haram substance.
Sorry I misunderstood. Consuming illegal drugs is of course against morality and everything immoral is prohibited in Islam. We shall be held accountable for committing any immoral acts on the Day of Judgement according to our knowledge as well as other constraints. However, we have been assured that no injustice shall be served to anyone, and we have also been told about the mercy of God that we should be hopeful for. If a friend or a family member dies due to committing such an act then we can only make supplication to God in their favor.
JazakAllah
