If anything is based on evidence that you can trust then it’s no longer a superstition and there is no prohibition for it as long as it has no aspects of polytheism or immorality in it.
Again, it is not in my knowledge anyone showing any evidence for black cats being unlucky. If one day someone can show me evidence that I can trust then I might start avoiding black cats too. It won’t be any different than avoiding snakes because I know from evidence provided by others that snakes bite.
