Quran 114:5 – What Does "An-Nas" Refer To In This Verse
(Sura An-Nas, 5)
Some say that the “an-nas” in the ayat refers both to Mankind and Jinn. Ghamidi sahab translates it with “logo”, which means “people from humans”. What would be the reasons to do that?
That it may include Jinn is attested to by the following sources:
(2) “and the Arabs used to say, رَأَيْتُ نَاسًا مِنَ الجِنِّ [I saw people of the jinn]” (Lane’s Lexicon: http://lexicon.quranic-research.net/data/25_n/291_nws.html | Under the entry ناس)
