  • A Child Getting To Know About Adoption At A Very Later Stage

If a 28 year boy get to know just a day before his Nikkah that he is an adopted son and his parents are hiding it all the way what should he do? He has an immense closeness with his mother and his mother could get really upset if he speak so. So what should come as his father name in the marriage agreement??

This should not have been done in the first place. It is a lie. Apart from legal complications, this is a matter of personal knowledge. One may make corrections to the papers later and carry on the nikah. Now when to reveal to the adoptive mother that the boy knows the reality is a matter of choice and discretion. One needs to find the best way and time to correct things.

And kindly explain if the nikkah is legal in that case?

I mean if the boy and girl have any intimate moment, would that be ok?

And one more thing…. Does the real father have any rights to create an issue right at the time of nikkah? From islamic point of view where does it stand?

No effect it created on Nikah. Nikha is between a man and a woman. The dispute about real parenthood is a separate problem. However, if the knowledge of the real parents of the husband can be a matter of concern for the woman and this knowledge may affect their marriage, then to reveal it to the woman before marriage is ethically compulsory.
