According to verse 7:40, istikbar is the sin which cannot open the doors of paradise ever.
So I guess this the worst sin

Istikbar (‘arrogance‘) is an attitude which renders a person ineligible for Jannah as per Quran 7:40-41, but this attitude does not exist in isolation, instead it transforms into action and manifests itself in the form of different sins, and three of those primary sins have been mentioned in Quran 25:68-69 namely, polytheism, murder and fornication. Therefore, if a person is involved in these sins, then he should repent sincerely in this life, because that is the only condition for saving oneself from eternal punishment.
