    There is no such absolute prohibition.

    For matters/activities which are not haram in their absolute sense, the only thing we Muslims should look for are the ethical issues surrounding such activities, if any, in accordance with Quran Surah Araf (7:33):

    قُلْ إِنَّـمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّيَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَالإِثْمَ وَالْبَغْيَ بِغَيْرِ الْـحَقِّ وَأَن تُشْرِكُوْا بِاللّهِ مَا لَـمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَانًا وَأَن تَقُولُوْا عَلَى اللّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ

    Tell [them]: “My Lord has only forbidden all lewd acts, whether overt or hidden and usurping the rights of others and wrongful oppression and that you worship with Him what He did not sanction and that you fabricate something about God what you know not.” (Quran 7:33)

    If one can refrain from the above mentioned ethical issues in watching movies and dramas, then there’s no reason to not engage in these activities.
