Does the concept of halal and haram in terms of consumption apply on lipsticks

Like people say a lot of lipsticks contain Carmine (which is a pigment extracted from insects ) so lipsticks containing Carmine are haram,is that true because one might unintentionally end up eating some of the lipstick

There is a high chance that lipstick might be licked, so if there is anything haram in its making, one needs to avoid it.

Insects are not haram in the sense haram animals are haram for their being beasts and blood in their veins. Insects are not eaten because one feels it disgusting to consume them. However, certain insects are eaten like locusts.
