    Asselamu aleykum,

Ghamidi Sb. (ha) also said in a session that the Prophet (sav) prohibited reciting the Quranic verses while bowing. But, there is a hadith in which the Prophet (sav) prohibited wearing things (like, Qassi, that which is dyed with safflower, and from the gold ring, along with reciting the Quranic verses during prostration.

Ali bin Abi Talib (rta) narrated: The Prophet (sav) prohibited wearing Qassi, and that which is dyed with safflower, and from the gold ring, and from reciting the Quran while bowing.

Are wearing these things really prohibited (I know that Ustaz Javed Ahmad Ghamidi Sb. (ha) said that Gold, is no longer prohibited to wear for men, because it is no more considered as the status symbol.) But, What’s the context of this hadith?

    Kindly clarify

The prohibited things are prohibited for their cause or Illat. When Illah is there, the prohibition is there, when Illah is removed, the rule stands null. The prohibition of wearing some colored clothes and gold was a show of extravagance or pride, which was disliked, but the prohibition of reciting the Quran in Ruku goes on forever. Ruku is meant for Zkr of God or to praise Him and His glory.
