Reference To Sahih Bukhari 3091 In The Context Of Music
Posted by Muhammad Saqib on June 2, 2023 at 6:50 amUstaz Ghamadi explained the sahih bukhari hadith 3091 in context of music but when I checked that hadith in all books of sahih bukhari, I couldn’t find any reference of music in this hadith. Can anyone tell me which book of sahih bukhari should i check. Which sahih bukhari usdaz ghamidi were referring.

Moderator June 2, 2023 at 2:34 pmIn Farahi school of thought, all hadith of same nature are collected and analysed.
Though this particular hadith donot contain anything about music but similar narration from another hadith include it. You can read that narration here

Member June 2, 2023 at 5:25 pmThanks for your kind help. I really appreciate your time and efforts. But ustaz ghamadi quoted sahih albukhari 3091 in context of music, which created doubt in my mind. I don’t have much knowledge. Either he mistakenly quoted this Hadith from sahih albukhari or just my lake of knowledge. Anyway thanks for showing me full Hadith

Moderator June 2, 2023 at 11:13 pmIn hadith project, one representative hadith is selected, which in this case was Sahih Bukhari 3091:
https://sunnah.com/bukhari:3091
After that, the text of the representative hadith is reconstructed with additional texts found in other variants of the same Hadith (found in whole of the Hadith Corpus). For example, the same incident is repeated in Sahih Bukhari on several other occasions like Sahih Bukhari 2089 (https://sunnah.com/bukhari:2089), 4003 (https://sunnah.com/bukhari:4003) AND 5793 (https://sunnah.com/bukhari:5793). It is narration 4003 where this additional detail is found and added to the main text of 3091 for Hadith project. When quoting any such hadith, Ghamidi Sahab only quotes the representative Hadith taken on one particular topic, the rest of the details can be found in the workings of the Hadith Project.

Moderator July 27, 2023 at 9:30 amIt is reported that Prophet Muhammad (Sws) fined Hamza (rta) the price of two she-camels:
Ibn-e-Hajr Asqalani writes:
“Al-Muhallab said: and in it that the custom has taken place that the crime of the relatives is forgiven. I said, there is some consideration because Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated on the authority of Abu Bakr Ibn Ayyash that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, fined Hamzah the price of two she-camels“.

Member August 11, 2023 at 9:53 pm1. Let me first provide some context for this video clip.
This specific video clip is part of a larger series containing twenty-three responses aimed at addressing objections to Ghamidi Sahib’s viewpoint on diverse religious matters. The clip in question has been excerpted from the topic “Singing and Music (Ghina aur Moseeqi)”
Before delving into an in-depth discussion of each individual narration concerning this topic, he makes it clear that he has already completed and written about this subject in a separate project of Hadith. Here is the link to this published work on this topic.
2. Now, let me offer some background regarding the numbering system used in the books of Ahadith, with a specific focus on Sahih Bukhari.
Various versions and publications of Sahih Bukhari are available in the market. The numbering of a specific Hadith can differ based on the particular version or publication you are referencing.
In addition to being compiled as a book of Ahadith, Sahih Bukhari’s chapters are structured in a manner that is suitable for a Fiqhi (jurisprudential) book. This occasionally results in the same Hadith being repeated in multiple chapters, depending on the specific issue being discussed.
Another aspect that may not be immediately apparent to a general reader of Sahih Bukhari is that a complete Hadith is not always narrated in its entirety at each occurrence; rather, only a segment of the Hadith is provided at each instance. To fully comprehend the entire narration, one needs to refer to each occurrence to piece together the complete picture.
Here is a Hadith that Ghamidi has mentioned, and it appears in three different places within Sahih Bukhari. Please read them all to observe any variations or differences.

https://hamariweb.com/islam/hadith/sahih-bukhari-2375
https://hamariweb.com/islam/hadith/sahih-bukhari-4003
To conclude this discussion, you might have noticed that Ghamidi Sahib is reading from a book, which happens to be the one he has authored on this topic. However, this book has not been published yet. For now, please review the text (Hadith #2) along with the references provided beneath this Hadith.
Last but certainly not least, in the Farahi school of thought, all Ahadith of a similar nature are gathered and subsequently subjected to analysis.
