Assalamu alykum, I am a government employee and my office timings are 9 to 5. But due to less work load, I go late sometimes and even come back early at times and even take unofficial offs when there is no work. Will my salary be halal?

Salary is for work, not for time. Time is a measure to ensure work is done on time. If work is done, the salary is halal.
