Can Loan, Given To A Person, Be Considered Zakat?
We arranged a loan for someone who promised to pay it back but now is unable to pay it back. And we are in a situation that we are unable to pay the complete amount of our Zakaat. So, if we forgive that loan and don’t take it back, can that be adjusted as Zakaat? Do we need to tell the other person that this is Zakaat?

You can adjust your zakat for the loan you were going to receive. you need not tell the person it was zakat.
