Assalamoalaikum brothers,
In one talk, Javaid sahab answered a question while touching the topic of “Hazrat Ibrahim / Ismael Qurbani incident” which we read in our rawaetee Ulema talks that Hazrat Ibrahim was about perform Zabihah on Ismael AS and Jibrael AS brought a lamb which was replaced and Zabihah was performed on lamb. Javaid sahab said the event was not exactly like this but then didn’t give details.
Are you able to share any detail talk of Javaid sahab on this event please.

Kindly share the video where Ghamidi Sahab made this statement so that proper context can be understood. According to the video below, Ghamidi Sahab is referring to the same traditional understanding of how things happened when Prophet Ibrahim (sws) reached Marwa for Qurbani of Prophet Ismail (sws).

ghamidi sahb tafseer of Baqara 214 where he says that sacrificing his son ismail was the biggest exam for Hazrat Ibrahim. and in another surah, he wrote that Allah never asked to sacrifice his son. It was Abraham who misunderstood. so it an exam or not?
اللہ تعالیٰ نے ابراہیم علیہ السلام کو جن امتحانوں میں ڈالا، اُن میں سے ہر امتحان نہایت کٹھن تھا۔ وہ اِن سب میں پورے اترے، لیکن بیٹے کی قربانی کا امتحان اِن سب سے بڑھ کر تھا۔ اِس میں پورا اترنا تو الگ رہا، اِس کا تصور بھی ہماشما کے لیے آسان نہیں ہے۔ تاہم سیدنا ابراہیم اِس میں بھی ہر لحاظ سے پورے اترے اور خدا کے حکم پر اپنے سیزدہ سالہ اکلوتے اور محبوب فرزند کو قربانی کے لیے ماتھے کے بل پچھاڑ دیا، یہاں تک کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا: ابراہیم تو نے تو خواب کو سچ کر دکھایا۔ یہی موقع تھا، جب اللہ تعالیٰ نے اُن سے وعدہ کیا کہ میں تمھیں لوگوں کا امام بناؤں گا۔
