What Are The Conditions For Forgiving Fellow Humans?
In Quran Allah strongly encourages people to forgive others so that in return Allah will forgive you.
Which of the following condition apply for such forgiveness?
1. Are we supposed to forgive only if someone ask for forgiveness?
2. Are we supposed to forgive even if someone asks or doesn’t ask for forgiveness?
3. Are we supposed to forgive every time even if someone keeps repeating the mistake unintentionally?
4. Are we supposed to forgive even if someone intentionally keeps repeating the mistake or in such case we are required to stand up against such behavior?

Allah has allowed us to take revenge as much as one has received the harm under the law and also to forgive as it is recommended. There are no restrictions or conditions for forgiving in personal matters whether one asks for forgiveness or not. if you think that forgiveness for someone increases his or her evil, you may choose to confront him or her.

@Irfan76 assalamu alaikum. if someone due to intense inner thought or for no reason say in mind that he forgives them but he is not willing to forgive them does these intenal thought really means foriveness?
And even if one forgive someone can’t he ask Allah to provide justice via punishing the betrayer?
