    Assalamualaikum!

It is clearly stated in Surah Al Fatiha, “to only You we pray and from only You we seek help”.

Does that also mean that if I am doing a hard work and my friend passes by, I can’t ask him for help?

This is in the matters which belong to God, like requesting His help to make the circumstances in our favor, and help us guide the right path, etc.

A word or sentence is understood in its context. For example, if a doctor says, how can I help you, it means help in medical terms, and if an air hostess says the same, it means the things pertaining to her duties.
