Assalamu aliakum sir,
1 : My question is that the ghamdi sahab say’s that we have to understand Qur’an in Arabic language at the time of prophet Muhammad (s.a.w), also quran state that it is revealed in arbi-e-mubeen so how could at the rain of hazrat umer r.a they couldn’t stand the aya of surat nisa on inheritance law properly even when thay are speaking the same language as of hazrat Muhammad s.a.w. and they had to apply the principle of awl to solve the problem.
2 : Also please confirm the validity of the hadith which relate principle of awl to Hazrat umer r.a.
3 : Please also confirm that is there any difference of opinion in understanding the quarnic ayats between Sahaba r.a.

A kalam in clear langauge is one things and its understanding is another. It is likely that humans may commit mistake in understanding a problem written in a clear language. This happens in every field of knowledge.
It is authentic that Umar started Awl and it was accepted by all, except for Abdullah bin Abbas, but since he was younger as compared to his elders, he did not made his opinon loud.
Sahabe sometimes differed with each other on the understanding of a verse or problem. Such examples are found in the literature of tafsir of Quran.
