Should We Think About Ourselves?
AoA
In the world, many times, it seems that our perspective, or our outlook, which is shaped by our knowledge, surroundings, or upbringing, leads us to constantly ponder certain results, and it appears that for a vast majority, aside from select individuals, no one understands our perspectives.
For example, if someone is a scholar or a person with a perspective that is quite rare in the world, and their words bore people or fail to ignite enthusiasm for action, should that person, on this occasion, choose silence in accordance with the religion? I feel that even though people may listen to advice and offer praise, they ultimately act according to their hearts. I am thinking that they should be allowed to act according to their own hearts, and don’t preach or advice people unnecessarily “unless they seek our advice or opinion.”
What is your perspective on this? I’m not asking about the permissibility in religion; I want to know which approach is more encouraged in religion, or for achieving high ranks in the afterlife. Should we always advise friends or relatives whenever we meet them (and this often turns into a long speech), or should we restrict our intellectual progress, our results, our conclusions, beliefs, or perspectives to ourselves and not share them with others unless they ask?
I was thinking of focusing on myself day and night, and it doesn’t seem very beneficial to advise being a well-wisher always or to always motivate them, as they will ultimately do what they want to do. So, I am now deciding to turn discussions into more of a “good listener” role, just listening to people, understanding their perspectives, and keeping quiet to the extent possible.
What are your thoughts on this? According to religion, which approach is more beneficial in the afterlife?”
