Nowdays alot of people make hand signs or just it’s a casual thing to do without the intention to represent any religion

    Would it be consider shirk

I have researched and almost every hand gesture is the sign of some religion such as some are from Christianity or Buddhism and so on .what should I do

If a sign or gesture is no longer associated with its origin, there is no harm in adopting it. If it does, then a Muslim has to avoid it.

For example, the names of weekdays come from a polytheistic origin, but it makes no difference now.

I see, but if the intention is not abt the sign for its origin but is normally is handy gesture for a person’s himself ,

Bcz almost every gesture has a polytheistic image

If a sign is still being used by polytheists as their religious symbol, a Muslim, despite having no intention to associate it with that religion, needs to avoid it.
