Everyone goes through tests and hardships. Are those hardships actually the worldly punishments given to us due to our bad actions or carelessness? Like if someone is bullied in his childhood, what could he possibly have done wrong to be punished when he can’t even think by himself. Is it of this sense that for example, due to being careless about one’s hygiene and cleanliness, he is punished (aka tested) by infecting him with a bacterial infection? So, that child who was bullied might have some evil in his heart such as arrogance which although he doesn’t display to others however Allah knows it is in his heart and by principle he is tested/punished like that. I know everything is a test in this world but is it that only the punishment of this world is turned into a test?

The way that God has created this world, it works on the principle of cause and effect. If is not correct to assume such effects as punishments.
