Forgetting A Part Of Salah In Congregational Prayers
Asselamu aleykum,
If during congregational prayers, one forgets saying something. (such as, saying Subhana rabi al-adheem, subhanallah rabi al a’la, or something else) Then, would his Salah be valid or not?
Kindly clarify this, in the light of Qur’an and Sunnah, Thanks.

The example you cited belongs to optional acts which do not affect the validity of prayer. However, if one forgets a rukan like ruku or sajda or qada (sitting), one my compensate it with Sajda Sahw at the end of the prayer.

Some people have said that, these are the major pillars of Salah (sajdah, qada, etc), and Sajda-e-Sahw is not enough for it, if one missed it. Also, one cannot do sajda-e-sahw if one is not praying individually.

then they need to justify their point. What we know from the act of the prophet, any mistake in the prayer was compensated with sajda sehw.
