Such as asking Allah for more wealth because it will make life easier while also keeping in mind the benefits of spending more of it on needy people for the sake of hereafter.

it is rather desirable. See the verse: 7: 32
قُلۡ مَنۡ حَرَّمَ زِیۡنَۃَ اللّٰہِ الَّتِیۡۤ اَخۡرَجَ لِعِبَادِہٖ وَ الطَّیِّبٰتِ مِنَ الرِّزۡقِ ؕ قُلۡ ہِیَ لِلَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا فِی الۡحَیٰوۃِ الدُّنۡیَا خَالِصَۃً یَّوۡمَ الۡقِیٰمَۃِ ؕ کَذٰلِکَ نُفَصِّلُ الۡاٰیٰتِ لِقَوۡمٍ یَّعۡلَمُوۡنَ
Ask them [O God’s Messenger]: Who has forbidden you the adornments of the Almighty which He had created for His servants, and who has forbidden the wholesome among the edibles? [336] Tell them: They are for the believers also even in this world [but God has also given the disbelievers a share in them]; [337] and on the Day of Judgement, they shall be theirs alone. [The disbelievers shall have no share in them.] Thus do We explain Our revelations for those who want to know.

and when the wealth is used to help others, it earns more benefits.

JazakAllah. So as long as worldly things don’t make us forget or not fulfil our religious obligations, it is fine to desire them as much as we want?
