The way such Prayers of Prophet (sws) are reported, it is clear that Prophet (sws) did not have a set pattern in this regard, he used to change his prayers and we do not know what other prayers he used to do which have not been reported to us. Uswa of Prophet (sws) provides a great example on how to pray to the the Almighty. Since it is a discretionary matter, Muslims can be encouraged to follow uswa of Prophet (sws) along with their own prayers, but Prayer is an individual matter between a person and His Lord, we cannot make it a debate of ‘Fazilat‘. Both are equally allowed but Prophet’s (SWS) uswa shows us how to refine our prayers and do them in their best form.
