Quran 4:103 – Were Adhkar After Salatul Khawf Obligated Or Recommended?
Asselamu aleykum,
Were Adhkar after Salatul Khawf recommended or obligated? Because, The Quran says “When the prayers are over, remember Allah—whether you are standing, sitting, or lying down. But when you are secure, establish regular prayers.” And based on this, my question is (like Salatul Khawf) are Adhkar also obligated after Qasr?

Sahaba were directed by Allah at the time of war. This applies directly to them as a directive of Allah, but we can infer that it is something recommneded for other Muslims as well. Ghamidi Sahab writes under this verse:
“The essence of prayer is remembering God and the spirit of religion is perpetuity in this remembrance. The reduction in prayer because of qasr has been asked to be compensated for in this manner here: it should be specially offered in the battlefield especially in dangerous circumstances because the fountainhead of determination and courage is the remembrance of God.”
