On Ali (ra) And Muawiya (ra): Prioritizing Peace Over Justice And Vice Versa
I know the questions might have already been gathered, but one of the fundamental questions of this conflict surrounds around justice vs. peace. In our current circumstances, we are seeing people chanting “No Justice, No Peace”.
Is it okay to assess some companions prioritize peace over justice while some did vice-versa? Also, what is primary responsibility of the government: justice or peace?

That was not about justice and peace, but peace and chaos that would emerge in the case of Shura as people could never agree upon any single person. Justice had already been denied when the murderers got immunity under the flag of Hazrat Ali. However, all those murderers were killed during the battles and when the power came in the hand of Hazrat Muawiah it was the question of peace or chaos. So he preferred to maintain peace.

Jazak Allah for your insights. I think the matter as a broader perspective was also about prioritizing justice vs peace. Usman (ra) not only sacrificed his just cause but also himself for peace. Ali (ra) also delayed justice for peace. Even that delayed justice caused chaos. Later Mauwiya (ra) prioritize peace too.
