‘If’ we assume that Isaac (Ishaq) AS was the one offered for sacrifice as claimed by the Ahl e Kitab and also believed to be the case by some of the Muslim scholars.

Does this make any difference in terms of the ‘theological’ aspect of our deen?

Doesn’t this change the whole Bani-Israel and Bani-Ismael theology?

That’s exactly my point. How so?

Isaac (AS) was offered for sacrifice and thus, God blessed him hence all the prophets (AS) that came from his progeny. Ismael (AS) was given Muhammad (SAW) from his offspring. The test still remains. The Bani-Ismail, Bani-Israil theoolgy is still maintained.

I mean, the overall scheme could be reconciled even like that, no? Pardon my little knowledge but just thinking out loud.
