Why Ameer Muawiyah (rta) Appointed His Son Yazeed As His Successor
Asselamu aleykum,
When Hadhrat Ali (rta) was asked about appointing his son Hadhrat Hasan (rta) as his successor. He refused to give any opinion on this matter. But, when Hadhrat Ameer Muawiyah (rta) was asked about appointed his son Yazid as his successor. He was reluctant at first. But, then why he appointed his son Yazid as his successor?
Please clarify this, Thanks.
