I heard that we are not accountable of our feelings in Islam because we simply can’t control them but we are accountable of our actions so when we can’t control them then why do in 58:22 Allah tells that you won’t see someone who believes in Allah and last day having love for those who oppose Allah and messenger is it that a normal human will feel that way or do they have to mould their feelings that way? And there is a hadith to love for Allah and hate for Allah but we don’t have control on our feelings than how can we mould them that way?

This verse is the context of the hostile enemies of Allah and His messenger. If the same kind of people we see, we cannot stop feeling bad for them. it is not about common non-Muslims.

Love and hate in terms of God and his prophet are ideological preferences. For example, we love our parents and kids, but suppose, if they go against God, we feel bad, and side with God and faith. This logical or ideological preference is love, not the feelings we naturally have for our fellow human beings.

Did you mean stop feeling bad for them or bad about them?

We are not suppose to hate non Muslims but we hate those who persecute or oppose people for believing in God and His messengers and practice their religion.

This hate comes naturally for such people?
