My son is 6 years old. His name is Wali Usman.

Is there is thing wrong with his name?

Is his name causing Allah to get mad or angry?

Is this name against Islamic teaching and against QUran and hadees?

Wali means friend. it means Usman’s friend, or Usman a friend. There is nothing wrong with it.

I was told by someone in relative that wali is Allah’ name and it’s not a good idea to have wali usman itself. I was told it has to be like this Abdul wali or something like.

I was confits the name I gave to

My son is perfectly alright. I needed to confirm with you guys. Once again please let me know if this name Wali USman is ok and as per Islamic teaching and it’s not against Islamic teaching or Quran and Hadith. Jazakallah

Allah’s name is Al-Wali, therefore simple prefix of wali can be used with a name. And in your case, wali usman gives a different meaning to the word Wali (wali/friend of Usman) which is not a disrespect or sin in any way.
