Child Given Up For Adoption Within Family
Salam,
Is it permissible to adopt a child of my brother when I and my wife are childless, we have no child and we want to adopt a child.
My brother’s wife gave birth to a baby girl a week ago and they are willing to give their Newborn child to me and to my wife.
I can understand the issues that we and the child will face the in future but still I want to know the rulings of Islam about child adoption.

There is no explicit ruling given in this regard in Shariah, however, its being unethical is obvious. The child is not a property or a senseless or emotionless thing. He has all the right to be raised by his or her own parents who brought him or her into the world unless there is some real and valid reason to give up their child to someone else.
