I know lying to anyone especially parents is highly discouraged in islam. But sometimes especially in our desi culture, parents prohibit us from doing something which is completely okay according to islam. For ex making some friends, going out, etc. So is it permissible to lie to your parents in some situations ( not regularly) to do something harmless or will it still be considered a sin?

@UmerQureshi Thank you. Till the extent I could understand, I interpreted that it will be considered a sin, because in cases as I mentioned above, there is no loss of my life , wealth or such important things so it will not be permissible , right? Just making sure I got the correct point or not
