Scholar January 29, 2024 at 12:26 amThe one who is compelled to give bribes to get one’s due right is not guilty, the same goes for the person who takes it, if he is compelled to receive it for the whole department and the corrupt system does not allow him. However, he should not take his share in the bribe. In principle, due to compulsion, one is not considered guilty.
However, if one gives or receives a bribe to do a wrong job, to usurp someone’s rights, or a wrongful oppression, then there is no valid excuse, and this kind of giving and taking of bribe leads to hell.

Member January 29, 2024 at 2:10 pmFor example if you give money to get some information, or maybe tht people ask for money in returns of something they do or might be kidnapping and than giving money for sake of live ,,
So in these conditions is it not the case of haram?,
But anyhow U don’t take money for yourself as bribe than it’s ok,,??
And are unserious situations different from them??
Such as friends asking for money to get something done ,
What are the majors difference between all these conditions?

In this case I guess the person demanding or wanting the bribery is taking undie advantage instead of the person who is giving bcz it necessity or either way,

Scholar February 25, 2024 at 11:20 pmThe one who receives money to do a wrong thing is sinful and the one who asks him to do a thing that is not his right is sinful by offering him money.
If the information he is asking for is not his right to know, both giver and taker are sinful. If the information he seeks is his right to know, but he cannot get it without offering bribery then only the receiver is sinful.
