Nationalism As An Ideology
Assalam Alaikum!
How do you see nationalism as an ideology? I mean isn’t nationalism a dividing factor among the Ummah at large? A foreign Muslim (or any human) should be as valuable to me as my fellow national irrespective of the borders between us. Why can’t we have the international borders between Muslim nations merely as the boundaries of administrative units instead of some divine lines that force me to believe that I am a Pakistani Muslim and the other one is an Indian muslim (say e.g)? For example nationalism is the reason Pakistan and Afghanistan hate each other.
