As-Salāmuʿalaykum, My name is Azizullah Karimi sending you the email from Kabul Afghanistan. I have a question regarding to lease/mortgage.
People in Afghanistan give their apartment/house for XXX amount, he returns the exact amount to the money owner without any interest/lost and get his house back, but during the agreed period the money owner uses the house or give it to someone else and uses the rent money for his own purposes.
For Example, Ahmad wants to lease/mortgage his apartment for $20k and Ajmal is agreeing to get Ahmad’s apartment and give Ahmad the $20K, both parties are agreed for a period of 2 or 3 years. So, Ajmal starts living in the apartment or give it to someone else on monthly rent for earning purpose. After the mentioned period Ahmad finds the money and returns the exact $20K to Ajmal. Ahmad takes the house back from Ajmal, but without receiving/giving any interest or the monthly rent from Ajmal.
Is it permissible in Islam? I need a source of confirmation either it’s a Quran verse or Hadith.
    Thank you.Azizullah Karimi

There seems nothing objectionable in this matter. It is only the intention of loss and deception which makes a financial matter objectional and thus haram.

This is a kind of hiring or fare, not a matter of loan.
