No, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were not part of the Ottoman Empire. These countries are located in Central Asia, while the Ottoman Empire was primarily located in the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Europe. Several countries in North Africa were part of the Ottoman Empire. These include:

    1. Algeria: Algeria was under Ottoman rule from the early 16th century until the French conquest in 1830.

    2. Tunisia: Tunisia was under Ottoman rule from the late 16th century until the French conquest in 1881.

    3. Libya: Parts of present-day Libya, including Tripolitania and Cyrenaica, were under Ottoman rule from the 16th century until the Italian conquest in 1912.

    4. Egypt: Egypt became a province of the Ottoman Empire in 1517 and remained under Ottoman control until the early 19th century when it gained a degree of autonomy.

It’s important to note that the extent of Ottoman control varied over time, and there were periods of local resistance and semi-autonomy within these regions.

The Abbasid Caliphate was established in 750 CE after overthrowing the Umayyad Caliphate and lasted until 1258 CE when the Mongols sacked Baghdad. The era of their political supremacy, however, effectively ended by the mid-10th century when their territorial control began to fracture, although they continued to hold the title of Caliph and maintained a degree of religious authority until the Mongol invasion.

During its height, the Abbasid Empire controlled a vast region encompassing modern-day countries such as:

      – Iraq (the heartland of the empire with Baghdad as its capital from 762 CE)

      – Iran

      – Syria

      – Saudi Arabia

      – Egypt

      – Parts of North Africa

      – Parts of the Arabian Peninsula

      – Palestine

      – Parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan

      – Parts of Central Asia

The empire’s territorial extent varied over time due to internal strife, wars, and the rise of autonomous dynasties within the empire.
