Isra Meraj Series Of 23 Question- Part 37 Timestem 11:27:

Ghamidi sh saying Shareek bin Abdullah can’t be criticized because in hadith Sahih al-Bukhari, 7517 he is referring the Isra journy and the meraj journey as two different incident, but the hadith starts with

“The night Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) was taken for a journey from the sacred mosque (of Mecca) Al-Ka`ba: Three persons came to him (in a dreamy while he was sleeping in the Sacred Mosque before the Divine Inspiration was revealed to Him………..”

So he starts with and calling this the night of isra and complete with calling it an incident that happened before nabuwat. Isn’t shareek bin Abdullah mixing up things as he is accused of. Or by (The night Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) was taken for a journey from the sacred mosque) means a completely diff journey that he was taken to some other place that starts from masjid haram and doesn’t relate journey of isra. Or is there some other hadith that ghamidi sh is referring too.

    Ref: Sahih al-Bukhari, 7517

    In-Book Reference: Book 97, Hadith 142

USC-MSA web (English) reference: Vol. 9, Book 93, Hadith 608 (deprecated numbering scheme)

It is the same Hadith used by Ghamidi Sahab however, according to Ghamidi Sahab the journey from Kaba to Bait-ul-Muqaddas as mentioned in Quran and the journey from kaba to heavens as mentioned in Bukhari 7517 are two separate events. The start of the hadith with this sentence “The night Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) was taken for a journey from the sacred mosque (of Mecca) Al-Kaba” refers to the second incident and not to the incident mentioned in Quran.

    Jazakallah for reply,

That is understandable that these are two diff events, but if we continue the hadith states that the first event happened before prophethood (Three persons came to him (in a dreamy while he was sleeping in the Sacred Mosque before the Divine Inspiration was revealed to Him) and this seems quite confusing how any of these incident happened before nabuwat.

    Kindle help with which journey

(was taken for a journey from the sacred mosque)

this hadith is referring to that happened before prophethood

This whole hadith is referring to only one incident where Prophet Muhammad (sws) was ascended to heavens in that dream and shown various signs and experiences. Three angels which came that night were the same three angels which came to him in a dream even before his prophethood and at that time and they did not do anything, just identified him and that’s it. Then after prophethood, the same three angels came to the Prophet (SWS) and put him beside ZamZam and then the Hadith continues. It is this commonality of these three angels due to which linkage was established with one dream before prophethood and then a dream after prophethood.
