    Can the government severely punish a few people so that they become an example to the rest of the people?

    Punishments Which are normally not allowed like brutal punishments.

    Once the authority Is assigned the authority to execute punishments, it can decide how severe a punishment should be to make it formidable.

    However death penalty can be given only in the case of murder and Fasad fil al Ard

    Is there any limit in Islam that tell us that we can’t give brutal punishments up to a certain point

    E.t.c like burning someone alive if he kills another person.just to set an example for other people
