Difference Between Arrogance (Takabbur) And Feeling Of Superiority
We know takabbur means considering others inferior. But doesn’t this mean Takabbur means “seeing yourself superior?”
I mean if you are a father, a boss or a king, you have authority or in other words you are superior over others in some way. but if acknowledge this objective truth, doesn’t it mean, that your arrogant? Because “being authority or superior over someone implies they might be inferior”

No need is there to get confused with the use of words. The fact is, to have an administrative authority is necessary, which does not necessitate seeing others as inferior, they are but subordinates who may be better than the boss or father, in intellect, morals, piety, etc. Therefore a God-fearing person in the position of authority just exercise his duties, does not look down upon others.

So, you’re saying that having authority or superiority in one thing is an objective reality. But we can’t perceive anyone as inferior or less valuable than us because we don’t have an idea of their overall personal value. While we may have authority in one field, another person may be better than us in other aspects. For example, if I give an extreme example, even a king would speak respectfully to his people. Because in a way, he might be significant, but we don’t know about other aspects. Am I right?
So, arrogance also appears to be an objective flaw because we don’t really know what kind of person someone is, so considering them inferior is foolish. Right?
That’s why even a Prophet, when they thought they were the best in knowledge, was given a reality check.

right. Even talking with an administrative tone might be a necessity of the job that does not mean that the other is inferior.
