  • Doctor's Mistake While Operating On A Patient

As we know before surgery Dr takes consent from patient ‘s relatives tht in case of any complication Dr will not be responsible… But if during surgery Dr unintentionally made a mistake which could harm the patient .. about an year ago. What should a doctor do know after much time has passed and dnt know the consequences of tracing her back and facing them. How to get out of this feeling of guilt now

Is there any way out in which one doesn’t want to approach the family and wants forgiveness too ?

If the patient was not harmed then there is no need to contact the patient. Only asking forgiveness from Allah would suffice and doing charity is also good.

However, if the patient was harmed because of an intentional mistake (not intended to harm the patient) but the mistake was something which a doctor should have avoided but did not becasue of a mistake at his end, then there is a sharia in place to deal with such situation which is shared in the above thread.
