If victim is harmed by mistake of offender but mistake was unintentional.. and victim doesn’t contact even.. is it still compulsory to find the victim out for offender and compensate for the loss ? Or asking forgiveness from Allah is enough ?

To harm someone unintentionally is not a sin but not to compensate him or her for the harm, if it is possible, is what may make a person accountable to God. It is an ethical responsibility.

The compensation money for Diyat (compensation for a mistaken harm) indicates that shariah wants it be done.
