Source Of Ilhaam Of Sufis
Assalamualaikum!
Sufis say that the divine knowledge they get is from the same source from where the prophets used to get it (astaghfirullah).
They also describe certain stages /manazil that the selected ones/khawaas have to go through to reach divine reality or realm
Ghamidi Saheb and a few other people criticize this. Their criticism seems to be in the light of the Holy Quran.
But my question is, then what is the REAL source of these divine stages that their mind goes through? Asking with all due respect, do they develop hallucinations or become patients of schizophrenia?

t is just their imagination which sometimes visualizes things to them. In some instances, satanic forces are likely to be helping create such fantasies for some of them.

What would the jinns and satanic forces achieve by doing this?

The mischievous characters love to do evil things، whether they are humans or jinns. See the verses: 6: 128 -130
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ قَدِ اسْتَكْثَرْتُم مِّنَ الْإِنسِ ۖ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَاؤُهُم مِّنَ الْإِنسِ رَبَّنَا اسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ وَبَلَغْنَا أَجَلَنَا الَّذِي أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا ۚ قَالَ النَّارُ مَثْوَاكُمْ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ ﴿١٢٨﴾ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُوَلِّي بَعْضَ الظَّالِمِينَ بَعْضًا بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿١٢٩﴾ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِي وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَاءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا ۚ قَالُوا شَهِدْنَا عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِنَا ۖ وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا وَشَهِدُوا عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا كَافِرِينَ
Bear in mind the day, when He will gather all these [wrongdoers; [206] He will then say:] “O group of Jinn! You have led away many from mankind.” [207] And their companions from mankind will immediately say: “Lord, we have thoroughly benefited from one another [208] and [today] we have reached the time you had prescribed for us [209] …” God will say: “Now, fire is your abode; you shall abide in it forever except what God wills. In reality, your Lord is All-Knowing, [210] All-Wise.”
We let the wrongdoers get hold of each other in this way because of their misdeeds.
O Groups of Jinn and Humans! Did there not come to you messengers from among you who would recite My revelations to you and would warn you of this Day of Meeting of yours? [211] They will say: “We bear witness against our own selves.” [Alas!] The life of this world deceived them and now they are testifying against themselves that they were disbelievers.
