Confused On Qibla Change
I m confused on Qibla change, Bait ullah was not the qibla at the time of Prophet, what is the truth in this , why it was changed to Bait ul Mqadass and again to Bait Ullah. I have heard different versions. Please enlighten me on the history of this

What i understand from the tafeseer of Ustad is that Bait ul Maqdas was the qibla first use to offer prayers even during the time of Prophet PBUH and people all over the Arab come to Macca for Haj only and face Bait ul Maqdas to offer prayers, later it was changed to Bait Ul Allah as Qibla.
The thing which is bothering me is then why people come to Macca when it was not Qibla , also in tafsee it is written that first it was Bait ul Allah but to test Bani Ismail it WS’s shifted, so when this happened. Please can you tell chronologically what has happened and when. Still not clear

It was changed for the prophet and his followers. Before that it was the qibla for all. This first directive is not mentioned in the Qur’an. We come to know of it when God mentions the transfer of the qibla back to Kaaba.

Perhaps you need a clear mention of change of Iqbal from Kaaba to Bait ul Maqdis, which is not available according to my knowledge.

The prophet used to pray in Makkah while facing Bait al-Maqdis. He could face both Kaabah and Bait al Maqdis in Makkah, especially in Haram.
When he migrated, we find the prophet and his companions facing Bait al-Maqdis in Madina. It was not possible anymore to face both, as both were in different directions now.
Then came the directive of the change of Qibla to Kaabah which was the desired by the prophet.
The reason for the change of Qibla was that first, it was the test of the Arabs who preferred Kaabah, they were asked to face Bait al-Maqdis, and then it was the test for the people of Book, to whom Bait al-Maqdis was dear, they had to accept the prophet who faced Kaabah.
The directive of facing the Bait al-Maqdis is not available in Islamic literature. it just mentions that the prophet used to face both Kaabah and Bait al-Maqdis during his stay in Makkah. The second directive of the change of Kaabah is mentioned in the Quran as well as in Ahadith.
