    Hajj Is Becoming Very Expensive For Middle Class. Not Unaffordable But Extr Expe

    Hajj is becoming very expensive for middle class. Not unaffordable but extremely expensive. Can Umra which is almost 6 times less costly suffice bcoz the rituals and symbolism will remain the same?

    I am living in KSA and i agree that Hajj is overpriced especially for the Sub continent’s lower middle class or middle class at least.

    However, Umrah and Hajj are different in rituals. Umrah can be performed in hours but due to more rites and rituals hajj performance takes around 5 days or so. Thus, hajj has its own importance more than umrah. Although, i would recommend that a person should perform umrah at least.

    Note: You can perform umrah on visit visa as well which is way more less than Umrah visa.
