A religious scholar is claiming that the immediate signs of Qiyama will manifest in about 13 years time and there are approximately 87 years left till Qiyamah. He sounds genuine with all the calculations and inferences. Should we believe him?

No. Not at All. Nobody knows the exact advent of the hour. Not even our beloved Prophet Muhammad saw. Qur’an explicitly mentions:
They ask you about the hour, when will be its taking place? Say: The knowledge of it is only with my Lord; none but He shall manifest it at its time; it will be momentous in the heavens and the earth; it will not come on you but of a sudden. They ask you as if you were solicitous about it. Say: Its knowledge is only with Allah, but most people do not know. [7:187]
Indeed, Allah ˹alone˺ has the knowledge of the Hour. He sends down the rain, and knows what is in the wombs. No soul knows what it will earn for tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.
Luqmān, Ayah 34
And Blessed is the One to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and everything in between! With Him ˹alone˺ is the knowledge of the Hour. And to Him you will ˹all˺ be returned.
Az-Zukhruf, Ayah 85
