I am Dr. Moaaz from Pakistan. I am Psychiatrist by profession. I would really like to hear your thoughts on the concept of psychiatry and mental illness in islam.

Additionally, during the blessed month of Ramadan, I found immense joy and spiritual enrichment in the daily Urdu Quran Animation | AlBayan Series. The seamless flow and clarity of the translations allowed for an uninterrupted contemplative experience. It’s puzzling and somewhat disheartening that the series has not continued its regular uploads. The same holds true for the Al Bayan Lectures (Tafseer) series. I earnestly request the resumption of these series, to facilitate the completion of the Quranic journey for eager souls like myself and many others who find solace in the divine words.

    Stay Blessed

Deen does not teach or guide in sciences which we can learn and develop with our experiences and intellect. However, one may benefit from studying how God and His messengers dealt with different kinds of people to add something to the knowledge of psychiatry.
