it is said it was a bidat adopted by some Jews or it was a fashion adopted by scoundrels or it looked bad. It has nothing to do with usual haircuts.

Thank you, it seems like a good reason. Unfortunately there is not enough data available for that specific incident when Muhammad (PBUH) advised this. I reviewed some of it’s Arabic meanings and concluded that leaving hair in the shape of a cloud looks bad so that might be the best possible reason.
