sir it is told that not everything leads to Haram is to be avoided on the grounds of Sadd e Zariya.

my question is, if some directive which is based on Sadd e Zariya is given to us in Sunnah and Quran, then intentional violations of it will be minor sin.

but if for example a command comes to us in Khabr e Ahad, or Hadith, which is also not linked to a command of Quran separately. where the prophet is telling people to not to do something because of its potential to lead to some bad. will a person also be sinful if he didn’t follow what the Hadith said?.

It is our moral sense which tells what is sinful. It doesn’t matter it is mentioned in hadith or we find it inappropriate on our own.

@Irfan76 for example sir, we hear a hadith that prophet said to extinguish any lamp fire before sleeping because of risk of a mouse catching the fire and risking the whole tent.

if a person who does live in tent right now, uses lamp fire, but he doesn’t extinguish it while sleeping because he likes to sleep in a little bit of light up environment. after reading this hadith, if he still continue to does it. will he be sinful for disregarding prophet’s words?. in a sense that if prophet have a suggestion, will it be sin to not follow the suggestion or words of prophet?

Suggesting is not a directive, therefore it is not sinful if one does otherwise.
