    Hello,

My question is will a human be considered rebellious in Islamic terminology if he is ensnared in a grievous sin but acknowledges it to be a sin, tries to reform himself, guards his prayer and hope for Gods help in the future, but the addiction of that sin always gets the better of him and to the point that he thinks God is well aware of his struggle regarding that sin and will be merciful to him when he is answerable which thus reduces his efforts to curtail the sin in his life.

This is not rebellion but a weak disposition which can gets its strength from the beliefs. The more you believe in the hereafter the more you get cautious and righteous.
