my question is for example a man sold an amount of liquor in exchange for a cow. that cow was in his possession. that man after realization of his deed repented and then also got to know that he has to get rid of this cow which he got through Haram means. and he saw that his brother being a poor man can be eligible to receive this cow. and he gave the cow to his brother without any hope and intention for return in any form. as relatives send gifts and food to each other’s house. one day some sweets were sent to his house that were made a day before at his brother’s house. this man got to know that the milk that was used to prepare the sweet was the milk of the same cow that he had given to his brother, will the sweets be halal for him to eat? he did not have any intention of getting any return in any form while giving the cow to his brother. but now the sweets that came to him, in their preparation, milk that was used is from the same cow. is it halal for him to eat?

Since it was halal for the possessor of the cow to consume it and now he sends it as his share to the man. However higher state of taqwa would like to avoid it.

There is no black and white here. This is the grey area and one may go with one’s discretion.
